Northstar Palliative Care

For patients who need relief from symptoms and stress of any serious illness – even as they’re receiving curative treatments – our NorthStar Palliative Care team can help improve the quality of life for them and their entire family.

One of our physicians or nurse practitioners specializing in palliative medicine will assess the patient’s symptoms, discuss goals of care and coordinate options with the patient’s primary care physician.

NorthStar Palliative Care does not interfere with primary care physician billing or skilled home health services.

Our interdisciplinary team includes nurses, spiritual care advisors and social workers who can offer a range of additional options to support the patient and their family in coping with advancing illness.

The Advantages of NorthStar Palliative Care

NorthStar Palliative Care serves adults with advanced illness who are struggling with healthcare decisions and distressing symptoms. • Relieve side effects of curative treatments
  • Improve quality of life
  • Discuss the wishes, goals and concerns of each patient and their family
  • Reduce unwanted and potentially painful interventions, such as visits to the ER
